When you only have two pairs of breeches and no specific riding shirts the options are fairly limited as far as what to wear. Grey or black is the biggest decision I have to make and the decision comes down to one thing: do I have to take my own pictures or will Dusty be there? If I’m on my own (99% of the time) I will wear my grey tights since they have pockets for my phone. Otherwise I will wear my black ones which I like a whole lot better but don’t have pockets for my phone. Simple choice, really.
I prefer to school in my $15 synthetic Saxon paddocks with my Just Chaps half chaps over them versus my tall boots. Throw on any old shirt I feel like putting on, add a helmet and I am good to go.

I love how no nonsense you are!! I have way too many breeches and only wear one or two of the same ones because i like them (Note to self I should sell some shit) HA! 🙂 I have a big ass phone and never have a pocket big enough for that. UGH. Hence lack of media most times!!

I hear ya! I have 2 pairs of pants right now that fit and aren’t threadbare with holes in places that make riding uncomfortable. Though i do have designated barn shirts b/c they aren’t nice enough to wear in public anymore 😉 hahahaha

Hey, my Just Chaps arrived yesterday, but I wasn’t here to get them and I’ll have to retrieve them. The price was super after the Brexit and the fall of the pound, I paid 42 Euros. I hope they’re good!

I stick with SmartPak breeches because they come in long (love having to special order all my pants…NOT), but I wish there was some place to carry my phone! I have one of those armband things, but only wear it if I’m riding alone.

oh man i’m all about the pants with the pockets. and the ‘any old shirt’ thing too – i tend to cruise through the active sections of the local marshalls and tj maxx stores to pick up whatever they have on sale. works well!

If I ride more often I could see the use in having more pairs but I always have a clean pair and one in the laundry
